I think of it every day.
And when you don't want to lose it - you finally sit down and blog it :)
This past weekend I had the ordinary opportunity to ask my Grandma a question.
"Grandma, how many people are in your immediate family?"
She smiled and right away replied, "ninety-four".
94
Wowza! My eyes nearly burst with tears of awesome wonder. Amazing!
She then followed up that there are 94 here. 3 are no longer with us, so that would have been 97.
From being an only child, to becoming the matriarch of a family of 94 (so far).
She is a Proverbs 31 woman.
28 Her children stand and bless her.
Her husband praises her:
29 “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world,
but you surpass them all!”
30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last;
but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.
31 Reward her for all she has done.
Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.
Daily I count it a blessing to live so near to my family.
My parents, my siblings, my grandma, my aunts & uncles, my cousins.
Last Saturday we did pictures with my immediate family.
Looking forward to seeing them!
Davis was the least cooperative :)
regardless we will have captured this precious point in time.
On the wall in our house are these words:
Having someone to love is
FAMILY
Having somewhere to go is
HOME
Having both is a
BLESSING
