Long time no publish
Big boys are too old for me to write their stories
Not appropriate for me to share work stories
Hubby wouldn't appreciate me writing about him
What else is there?
The condition of my heart...
Analogies I discover/wonder
Questions I wallow with and eventually wrestle through
Sermons and books that inspire and challenge me
Flower gardening consistently connects my mind and heart, wandering and wondering
Why do weeds thrive regardless the conditions?
Why?
How?
Why do bugs and disease not go after the weeds?
The weeds may thrive tall and spread fast, but no one admires them.
Eventually they are ripped out of the ground or poisoned to die.
The weeds in my south flower bed had it good for a long time this summer, but today they're gone.
The flowers and bushes needed some TLC, some pruning, some fertilizer, some weed prevention, and in the future a better balance of water and sunshine.
I'll let you draw your own conclusions and application from this analogy I sweat through today.
And comment or send me a note if you think of other questions or observations you've had that would fit this analogy.

"Nature, of course, connects us back to that innate sense of having been created - of order and beauty and humility. We have been made. We are fragile. We live in connection to water and air and plants and sunshine, and when we acknowledge those things, we acknowledge our Creator... I felt a part of the natural world, governed by a good God, created with care and attentiveness." Shauna Niequist #PresentOverPerfect
