conglomeration

what a strange conglomeration of a day

started with a 12-hour fast
in preparation for my cholesterol blood test
as part of my 10:30a health screen at work
i felt like hungry hungry hippo
until i could inhale a fiber one bar at 11a

my hubby and i had then had a lunch-date at 11:30a
he ordered the "happy burritos"
we talked about paint colors for the basement

my van got an oil change today
and some TLC
after i had driven over a tire on the highway
and some minor plastic things under my van had broke loose

family was outside when i got home
enjoying the perfectly beautiful weather!

we sprayed weeds with round-up
and transplanted our hibiscus plant
which had been overtaken by our lilac bush

Davis let go of the kite
and it proceeded to fly on it's own for awhile
as the handle of the string spool got caught on our roof

supper was at 9p

Lance emptied the cooler
that Avery had taken to baseball practice
full of gatorade bottles
the gatorades were empty
but a PORKCHOP was left behind
he "couldn't find an ice pack"
"but the steak looked like the same size!"
Lance's response, "unbelievable!!"
"...actually it's not...and that's what's sad"
:)

and then i made my worst batch of cookies ever
taste is fine
presentation is horrid
i usually make them as bars
(it's my tried and true shortcut)
but i had suddenly had a "working mom" complex
that i should make "real" cookies
duh!
